No animal should suffer from a disease we can prevent. This year alone, Rain or Shine Rescue cared for far too many dogs battling illnesses that should never have happened—18 heartworm-positive dogs and 20 with tick-borne infections. These conditions are painful, costly, and entirely preventable.
That’s why this GIVING TUESDAY, we’re asking for your help to stock up on heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives—so we can stop the suffering before it starts.
Preventatives cost just $11 per dog per month, and your support ensures every dog we rescue stays safe, healthy, and protected. Will you donate to replenish our stock for the New Year?

We’re excited to announce the launch of the The All Weather Fund, our new recurring giving program. We’re a Grey Muzzle Grant recipient!
We’re honored to have been chosen as one of 119 grant recipients (and one of just 4 in New York) to be awarded funding from The Grey Muzzle Organization to support lifesaving efforts for senior dogs. The grant will help us cover medical expenses for seniors like medications, surgeries, prescription food and more!
